Lindsey Whelan

Lindsey Whelan is a Barbados-based sculptor and furniture designer whose work transforms local wood into artful expressions of form and function. Since settling on the island with his family in 2010, Lindsey has developed a deep reverence for its natural landscape-reflected in every curve, grain, and silhouette he crafts.

Working with mahogany, mango, and tamarind, Lindsey creates abstract sculptures and minimalist furniture that honour the beauty of the material itself. His process is intentional and sustainable-from milling and drying each piece in-house to using natural finishes like oils and shellac.

Guided by the belief that design can elevate the everyday, Lindsey shapes each creation with clarity, purpose, and story. His work invites us to pause, reflect, and find elegance in simplicity.
